Okay, so I am – first of all – a writer. Writing is my calling and it is my joy. But what I have learned more and more over the past few years is that readers (that’s you) may enjoy a good turn of phrase but they (you) don’t want to wade through too much in the way of words!

The posts that have gone a long way – on the edge of viral – have been the ones with great photographs! So this site, this derekmaulphotography.blog, is in the process of being developed to, bottom line, give readers what they want. And what they want is pictures!
